Safeguarding
What is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding means the actions we take and the systems we have in place at Lavant C.E. Primary School to promote the welfare of our children and to protect them from harm. There can be no issue of greater importance to our staff, governors and parents and carers, than the safety of our children.
Who do I contact if I have a Safeguarding concern about a child?
If you have any concerns regarding safeguarding please contact:
Mr Adrian King – Designated Safeguarding Lead and member of staff responsible for Children Looked After
email: head@lavant.w-sussex.sch.uk
In his absence:
Mr. Daniel Taylor - Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
email:email: deputy@lavant.w-sussex.sch.uk
Mr. Chris Hawker - Lead Governor for Safeguarding
email:chawker@lavant.w-sussex.sch.uk
Who else can I contact?
If you think a child or young person is at IMMEDIATE risk, you should treat this as an emergency and call 999 to report your concerns to the Police.
If you think a child is being abused or neglected please contact the Integrated Front Door (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub). You can contact the IFD during office hours on the details below:
Tel: 01403 229 900
